More than 4,000 Erie patients are currently expecting a new bundle of joy. Can you help us ensure that these babies and their parents have the tools they need during this exciting new chapter of life?
Through Erie's Baby Registry, your gift will connect parents to car seats, diapers, formula, wipes, pack & plays, blood pressure monitors, glucometers, and other essential items to keep them and their babies safe and healthy during pregnancy and after birth.
Baby Registry items will be distributed by the Maternal & Child Health Case Management (MCCM) and Social Drivers of Health (SDoH) teams. Because storage space is limited and every family's needs are different, our teams appreciate the flexibility of purchasing critical items as needs arise.
Last year, Erie's baby registry raised nearly $9,000, which allowed us to distribute 276 items to growing families, including 34 car seats, 20 strollers, 40 packages of diapers, and so much more -- incredible!
This year, the need for items is greater than ever. We aim to raise $10,000 to support the growing number of pregnant Erie patients across the Chicago region, including new patients at the recently opened Erie Sankofa Village Health Center. Changes to nutrition assistance programs, such as SNAP, and rising food costs are also placing an additional strain on family budgets and increasing the need for support with baby formula and other essentials.

Your contribution supports patients like Claire*, an expectant first time mom enrolled in Erie's maternal and child health case management program. When Claire shared that she struggled to afford a safe sleeping area for her baby, her Erie case manager was able to give her a bassinet at no cost. Along with the bassinet, Claire received education on safe sleeping and a sleep sack.
Thanks to generous contributions, Claire can sleep soundly knowing that her baby is doing the same!
